Looking to tow a chase boat?<\/h3>\t\t\t

When the choice is made to tow your chase boat, you want a reliable but most of all safe towing system.<\/p>\n

A superyacht tender, rib or water sport toy can create lots of drag and tension on ropes. For the first part of the system we would recommend to use a spare double braided polyester mooring line. If placed as a bridle on two points on the stern this would spread the load evenly but will also be more than strong enough.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Floating Dyneema tow lines<\/h3>\t\t\t

For the main standing part a floating line is desirable so it doesn’t get caught when the yacht is stopped.<\/p>\n

For easy storage and easy handling we would recommend a Dyneema single braided line in a bright color for easy identification whilst underway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>

Bright Dyneema<\/h3>\t\t\t

The standing part in a Dyneema tow line setup is often 50 meters to create a safe distance between the yacht and chase boat.<\/p>\n

With a bright color it is easy to identify if the tow line becomes slack or when it becomes under tension. For that reason our standard color for tow lines is yellow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Bridle lines<\/h3>\t\t\t

Having the right pennanant or bridle lines is key to keep the tender and deckhardware safe.<\/p>\n

A simple solution is a spare mooring line fed through the eye in the standing tow. Dedictaed Y- bridles made from double braid Polyestere or Nylon are more common and a great way to start your tow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Soft connection<\/h3>\t\t\t

To safely connect the tender to the tow line heavy stainless steel are often used. They work great and last a long time but can easily damage the yacht, toy or tender. A safer and more economical alternative is a soft-shackle.<\/p>\n

Made from Dyneema or HMPE, for a strong but also scratch free connection point, also if you accidentally drop them in the water, they float!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tylaska clip<\/h3>\t\t\t

To quickly connect the tender to the standing Dyneema tow a Tylaska is a common and reliable option. Well known for it’s reliabillity and spliced to the dyneema towline for a safe and strong connection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Spliced together<\/h3>\t\t\t

You can also splice the Tow line and bridle lines together eliminating weak points.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
